In 2011, the founder of Boulder Happy Hours decided it was time to create a space that provided foodies and those searching for bargains on cuisines and drinks to have their own dedicated website! This is how Boulder Happy Hours was founded! Paul Cox started this with one goal in mind of being the local resource and expert in all things happy hour in Boulder! What did the Monsters do? Cox came to Denver Media Group (DMG) with a couple of goals in mind! The primary goal was to create a modern, easy to navigate website that utilized big, appetizing images. Our designers started to get a bit hungry and thirsty while working on this project, but with help from Cox, they were able to power through their rumbling stomachs! Our designers enjoyed this project and working closely with him! The new website design provides happy hour goers with a responsive and intuitive design that easily showcases the entire purpose behind the website! As for the development side of this project, one of the main focuses was the ability to filter happy hour deals based on a consumer’s location! Our developers were able to integrate a Google Maps API for location based services. With this in mind, the second most important focus was to have cuisines filtered based on categories! Each category of cuisines has the ability to be filtered to find their exact craving! When users register and create an account, their history of orders previously will show within their account. DMG designed a beautiful header that has the filters for locations, food items you are looking for and dining options as well which makes the user accessibility very efficient. Behind the scenes, each restaurant owner is able to manage their own locations! If their happy hour specials change or they have updated images, each restaurant manager can easily login and update their portion of the website ensuring the latest information is always available to hungry patrons.
